Canyon Creek Ranch . . . A Remote & Secluded Guest Ranch
|
|
Canyon Creek Ranch is literally at "road’s end":
55 miles southwest of Butte,
Each group or family has their own private log cabin complete with wood burning fireplace, comfortable beds, carpeted floors, creekside deck and modern bath. Meals are served family style in the main lodge.
Canyon Creek Ranch is a very different guest ranch. There is no swimming pool, juke box, video games, coke machine, souvenir stand, pool table or other similar distractions. The pace is slower, fewer people are "coming & going". Guests are able to learn more about fishing, horsemanship, wildlife, river floating, the local flora and fauna and the interesting history of the area, in a relaxed, unrushed sort of way. At Canyon Creek Ranch, unlike a "dude ranch", the atmosphere is one of family and friends experiencing outdoor activities together, rather than separating them by offering "things to keep the kids busy." There is diversity enough to meet each guests needs, yet not so fast-paced that you cant relax in the spectacular setting.
Trips to the alpine lakes (6 within easy reach) and "back-country" are designed to expose guests to the majestic beauty of one of Montanas largest and most rugged wilderness areas. The best equipment and horses available are utilized. Fishing is outstanding in the numerous lakes and streams. Photographers will find themselves in a virtual paradise with the opportunity to capture massive peaks to 10,000 feet. Wildlife is abundant: Mule Deer, Elk, Mountain Goats, Big Horn Sheep, Moose, Beaver, Golden Eagles, Falcon and Mountain Grouse are common sights in our daily activities.
