This
course is held in the beautiful rolling hills of northwestern Minnesota.
It is open to all School of FlyFishing graduates, with a maximum of 6 anglers,
and
is for the purpose of:
- getting together . . .
reunite with other School graduates & your "professor"
- essentially, this is a
"learn while fly fishing"
experience; we will be fishing for 3 days for Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike,
Bluegill (in lakes from a variety of boats and/or float tubes); and we use small boats
to floatfish for Smallmouth Bass on the Ottertail River.
- get your questions
personally addressed re:
- tackle, equipment, rods, reels, lines, leaders,
flies, knots, wadefishing, floattube & floatfishing, etc.

improve your flycasting:
- one-on-one attention with
your current casting . . . particularly with larger flies such as used here
- advanced casting . . .
we will work on
methods/techniques to improve your casting performance:
- roll cast, reach cast, slack line cast,
bow-and-arrow cast, single haul, double haul, back-cast-shoot,
forward-cast-shoot

sharpen presentation
. . . gain additional knowledge/techniques for fly fishing for Bass and
Pike
- BYO: rod, reel, line, leader
& waders
- Lodging . . . very
comfortable accommodations and elegant meals are provided at private Long Lake Lodge,
a 5 bedroom lakeshore lodge (the lodge owner also operates Fergus Falls' finest restaurant)
