The School of FlyFishing offers a series of
courses for students who have graduated from one
of the School's Beginner Outdoor Courses.
These "alumni" courses are designed to expose
participants to a broader range of fly fishing
environments, species of fish,
varieties of tackle, presentation challenges and knowledge requirements (and
better fishing.)
Students are expected to have mastered basic fly fishing skills that they
acquire in "undergraduate" school(s)
and to have necessary tackle and equipment. Students who have not attended an Outdoor Course, are
welcomed to inquire about these courses, and can be approved for participation by
faculty depending upon their experience.
Personal Approach . . .
With our knowledge of each
graduate
and their respective skill levels, we are able to properly match capabilities with the demands of the various courses. This
ensures an improving competency level for the student as they progress in their
fly fishing.
The sessions are held in remote, proven locations. Most will provide quality accommodations, meals, professional service as well as personal privacy and quiet. They generally involve travel to "off-the-beaten-path" areas that are known to harbor a healthy and stable resource of a particular species of fish.
