The purpose of fly fishing is to catch fish. Many fly fishers have experienced that in addition to being a fun and rewarding way to fish, fishing with flies can be more productive than other methods; i.e., they catch more fish per angling hour. You've heard the axiom, "Knowledge is power . . ." We are of the learned opinion that by the very nature of our sport, fly fishers as a whole have the opportunity to learn more about the fish we seek than non fly fishers. The demands of the sport require that fly fishers know a lot about the fish they seek if they are going to maximize results, i.e., catch more fish. In this course, you have in one place a whole lot of information about several species of fish that are popular with fly fishers. It will give you the basics of what, where, when, how and why for each species. And, this course will give you the opportunity to gain the power of knowledge "all under one roof" without having to buy any books. The Course is composed of 3 Sections, covering 28 species of fish: Freshwater (17 species), Saltwater (6 species), and Sea-Run (5 species). For those attending Outdoor Courses, regardless of the location, focus is on the species of fish available at the site. So, not only do you learn about wild fish in their native environs, you get to catch them.
