Flies . . . what a name for a fishing concept, method, device . . . what we are really talking about is "BAIT!"

Yes, just plan old bait.  The same thing you used to dig up in the back yard.  Only now, as we have gained more knowledge about the fish we so enjoy catching, this has lead us to can the worms (pun intended) and replace them on a hook with feathers, tinsel, hair, and other stuff  . . . these are what we know as "Flies".

In this course you will learn the "need to know" to get a sound start with understanding flies . . . what the heck they are . . .  why & when we use them . . . & how to select what to use in various fishing situations.   We won't get you in too deep on memorizing names of these things, the fish don't care what it's called, and we don't much either.

Those attending our Outdoor Courses gain the added advantage of experiencing first hand the connection between the natural insects specific to the area and the flies used to imitate them.  Students also receive detailed knowledge about the flies of most interest/importance to their particular fly fishing.
